| The "Pick of the Valley" is a major sale of top quality Hereford cattle raised in the Ottawa Valley region. It is held at the Carp Fairgrounds the weekend after the Metcalfe Fair, around the second weekend of October. The 2009 sale was held on Monday, October 12th. |
